FYI...SHAKTI...an outfit dedicated to fusing high-energy jazz and Indian Music.It featured John McLaughlin, the group leader, on acoustic guitar( he reoriented the guitar in such a way that when he played it ,the first half of the note had a sitar sound followed by the guitar sound as the second half of the note all on the same instrument...i.e. it sounded as a sitar/guitar combo on each stroke), Violinist  L.Shankar, Tabla Zakir Hussain and Mridangam played by T.H.Vikku & Ramnad Raghavan. It was first released in Summer of 75 ,Album was "A Handful of Beauty".
