Guys, first of all there is no way that people can call Ash ugly, she is really pretty BUT as an Indian it would had been better that she would had worn an Indian dress to show the other world actresses that "WHAT THEY WEAR is not more than an Indian beautiful dress because I think that she would had looked a lot better in Indian dress rather than wearing a dress like what she wore. She should actually not care about what others might wear and she should wear almost like other actresses. In fact she would have shown the Indian beauty in her by wearing an Indian dress. She should have been proud to look different from all by wearing Indian dress instead of what she wore. WELL, the guys would definitely like what she wore but as an Indian woman, it is not what a husband, a brother or any parent would want their wife, sister or daughter to wear what Ash wore. She was looking stupid, I say that because it was clear as day she was not comfortable in the dress, she was pulling at it and fidgeting with it, she looked very uncomfortable and self conscious, now about the dress its self, it was not nice it looked cheap and was probably stitched in India, now nothing against our desi clothes but an actress of Aishwarya's stature could have bought a dress from France, by any number of designers like Channel or Gucci, and she has the figure to pull it off, I have come to only one conclusion that she has no dressing sense and just puts on whatever her designer gives her, which works out some times but most of the times it does.... Ash is one of the most beautiful actresses I have ever seen and she looks stunning in traditional as well as western dresses. This dress sucks, not because it is revealing much more than she has ever done before but the dress itself is ugly. She should change her dress designer. Although the style of her dress was more contemporary and certainly better than last year, it doesn't do her any justice. The dress looks cheap, and it makes one wonder with the amount of money the woman has and this so called international star status that why she doesn't invest in a dress by Versace or other such designers of that caliber. I have never thought of Ash in those type of clothes. She is gonna wear in future too. To me she looks awesome in saris and other Indian stuff, but in those clothes she don't look cool at all. I know other actress wear but y should she? Because I have always thought she is different from every actress in the Bollywood. Because she is my fav actress and she is very nice beautiful actress. I've never personally had anything against ash and was never really fond of her but yes, I did admire her sharpness, beauty and of course, her ability to be so conservative and yet, elegant at the same time. But after catching a glimpse of her peculiar dressing sense at Cannes, I was caught off guard. Is this really Aishwariya Rai? Yes, times are changing and so is every actress's wardrobe but I'd yet expect an Indian actress to dress in the appropriate manner with which she could naturally flaunt whatever India has to offer. Ash is one of the most beautiful women in the world. However, her outfit at the Cannes film festival made her look very cheap and un-classy. Sure there are other's like Bipasha who dress like that, but that is what made ash stand apart from all those other "bollywood girls". I think Aishwarya looked absolutely stunning at this year's Cannes Film Festival. I admit she did bare a bit more than what she normally would, but the dress is very elegant and fit for the occasion. It looked beautiful on her along with the jewelry and the hair, what a beauty! She's a grown woman and has the right to wear whatever she wants as long as SHE feels comfortable with it. I think Aishwarya Rai has distort her respectable image by such a vulgar dressing sense. It is a disgrace to the Indian film industry. We were not expecting any such thing at least from aishwariya. She was actually looking horrible because of her dress (almost like bare essentials). As before, she looked pretty and beautiful just because of her fully covered dresses but this dress has given some negative aspects to her as well. She will now be included among some of the cheap and vulgar actresses and will be offered such roles. I think it is just a matter of age.
