Sonia....now heres a fruit cum veg chaat which we have when fasting for the navratris....i personally hate guavas in a chaat so i have omitted them tho u could include them.......
Cut....bolied and peeled potatoes;tomatoes ,unpeeled apples into bite sized squares
Cut slightly overripe bananas and peeled cucumbers into thick half moons
boil sweet potato (shakarkandi) and peel,cut into big chunks
mix all the fruits and veggies
Season with black salt or sea salt,sugar,roasted ground jeera and red chillie powder,lotsa lemon juice and a generous sprinkling of chopped green coriander..........give the whole lot a good stir till the sugar crystals can no longer be seen.Chill and then savour
Ok heres another different kinda snacky chaat........i love it hope u will too
Boil and peel whole potatoes and cut them lengthwise,scoop out the centers and keep aside
Mix black chaat masala(dilli wala) in boiled drained chick peas and either tamarind juice or lemon juice and season with black salt if required......add some chopped green chillies to the chick peas
Now pile the chick peas onto the scooped out potatoes and garnish with finely slivered ginger juliennes and chopped green coraiander.Chill well before serving
yessssssssss sliced in halves lengthwise not creosswise......so they can sit pretty:) and yes scoop out the centers........and oh i forgot.........this is called.........KULLE
