Mallika, Priyanka Chopra, and some others are heading for big exposure in our films. 'Murder' has said to have made triple the amount in profits at the box office than expected, just cos of Mallika's exposure in it.
Is that the future of Bollywood Films?

yeh lo kar lo baat why mix two different things...yaar...no single movie or heroine can represent the whole 'Bhartiya Naari' or the Indian Culture. I think it is the Media and the bad propanganda that actually fuels such wrong images about a movie or a heroine.....I personally think that not much should be read or said about such things becos Indian Women..and Indian Culture are too sacred and rich to be just portrayed or related to just a handful of Heroines...or Movies...

Interesting.....but these heroines have made their statements loud and clear all by themselves..that they are heading that way.

A very disturbing trend indeed! It seem like these new actresses have to mission to expose and truely believe that it'll bring them fame!
THe problem is that it's a double edge sword as we saw with Bips! She got to be known for her exposure and raunchy acting and so now if her movies don't have it, it bombs.. I disagree with masti ..it only takes one bad apple to move the audience and filmmakers in a totally unindiand direction..remember the bottom line is $$$$$ and when the masses embrace this kind of thing , you know a million more copies would be churned out in no time..and we can see that happening already!
Interesting topic cause i think that we are more cunservative in dressing and other values, even though we are living in the western country then people in india.
as far as the skimpy clothes in movies its only $$$$$$$$.

You are soooooo right rinx.....we are quite backwards compared to our indian folks back home. They are more modernized than us. Show-offs is a way of life of ppl there. As if 'material things' is all what life is all about, but its not true as we western desis know. We can only hope, that our folks back home can realize that soon too. They just seem to be so lost in the hassle and dazzle of glittery life there.
