This week has been a celebration of Bollywood of sorts. While Bombay Dreams opened on Broadway on April 29, the next day saw the Bollywood Fashion Awards in Atlanta.
Seen here, Urmila Matondkar with Hollywood action star Jean Claude Van Damme, to whom she handed over the award for international style.
Van Damme is not the first Hollywood star to be recognised by the Hindi film industry. Sharon Stone received the Woman of Conscience Award for her 'steadfast support to charitable and philanthropic organisations like Amfar and The Bridge Fund.'
Other international celebrities like Michael Jackson, Richard Gere, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Tyra Banks, Jerry Hall and Diane Von Furstenberg have been awarded by the Hindi film industry earlier.

That's my biggest gripe with Bollywood trying to act like Hollywood...they wanna do the the bold/daring, BUT it just ends up looking silly...let's not even go to the kissing etc..It just cracks me up every time!!!!!
it is weird this topic should have been 'Is it just me or does 'Van Damme' look like a 'Dame'... I think Urmi is perfectly well dressed and has the correct balance of brown and black..
