When it comes to patriotic deeds, few can beat Urmila Matondkar. So when she was invited to be Grand Marshall at the Indian Independence Day celebrations in San Francisco, she immediately agreed. “I love doing things like this,” she gushed when we asked her about the event. “I wanted to attend a similar event on the fourth of July in the US, but couldn’t do so. But I plan to make up for this on the 15th of August by going to Frisco as Grand Marshall.” The actress sounded quite excited about her appointment. The sight of Urmila at the event, we’re sure, is going to be a sight for sore naina (eyes) for all those homesick NRI’s out there.
