It's almost two years now when Karisma Kapoor weds Delhi based businessman Sunjay Kapur. Their daughter was born on March, till then she is in Mumbai. We also hear some rumours that this marriage is under stress. A friend of the actress' husband says, "Lolo no longer wants to be with Sunjay. She has had enough of the marriage and wants divorce." But Sunjay denies all these and explains; "There hasn't been even a small tiff between us that could have given birth to these rumours. These stories are malicious and completely false. Karisma is in Mumbai for the baby, who is now the center of our lives. We are very much together."
Rumours are floating around that say industrialist Sunjay Kapur and actor Karisma Kapoor are indeed headed for a split. Eyewitnesses confirm that just a few days ago, Sunjay went to the actor’s Bandra residence and asked for a divorce. He is also said to be consulting a Delhi-based lawyer regarding the issue. Karisma’s response has allegedly been: “The baby is just two months old... give me some time.” Delhi’s abuzz with rumours that Sunjay was spotted dating Ruheen Jaiswal. Ruheen incidentally was actor Fardeen Khan’s steady girlfriend for years before Fardeen got engaged to Natasha Madhwani, the daughter of yesteryear actor Mumtaz.
Sunjay’s marriage to Karisma is his second. He was earlier married to designer-socialite Nandita Mahtani. Karisma’s comeback into the movies and her insistence on living in Mumbai has also been cited by close friends as the reason for the split. An avid polo player, Sunjay has been spotted at every high-profile do in Delhi and is currently travelling. Contrary to rumours that he was partying in Delhi when the baby was delivered, Sunjay was apparently very much present at Breach Candy hospital at the time. Some eyewitnesses claim to have seen him touch his father-in-law Randhir Kapoor’s feet on arrival at the hospital. On the day, Karisma and Sunjay were heard discussing some DVDs that the actor wanted her husband to bring for her from Delhi. Sunjay Kapur is said to have replied good-humouredly, “You come to Delhi and take them from me.”
