Saif shoots 32 hours non-stop!

Saif Ali Khan in Parineeta 'Parineeta' - the film directed by Pradeep Sarkar and produced by Vinod Chopra Productions is one of the most awaited films this year. The film is nearing completion and the team has some interesting anecdotes to share on Saif Ali Khan's shooting spree.

Saif began the shooting for 'Parineeta' in early October 2004 where he shot in the breathtaking locales at the foothills of Darjeeling and there has been no looking back from there onwards. The last schedule that ended in Kolkata also happened to be Saif's last shot for the film, where the shooting went on for more than a day at a stretch. After the exhaustive shooting spell Saif messaged the producer - Vinod Chopra, referring to the director Pradeep Sarkar, "This 'bong' has made me work for 32 hours continuously". To which Vinod advised him to run - run - run and it was actually 'run' that Saif did because it being his last day of shooting. Saif further added, "It's my last shot and just want to say thanks... I think we have nailed the role".

But Saif's most cherished moment was definitely his first schedule in Darjeeling in the same train that his mother, yesteryear's super star Sharmila Tagore, boarded almost 3 decades ago when she shot for the song 'Mere Sapno Ki Rani Kab Aayegi Tu' from the film 'Aradhana'.

A wonderful narrative that revolves around its lead characters, 'Parineeta' is the story of Girish, Shekhar, Koel and Lolitha played aptly by Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan, and Raima Sen and introduces Vidya Balan. 'Parineeta' is based on the classic tale superbly penned by one of the most renowned storytellers of our country – Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay.
