GERMANY'S RATZINGER IS 265TH POPE


New pope delivers first blessing

Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger of Germany today was elected the 265th pope and took the name Benedict XVI. 'After our great pope, John Paul II, the cardinals have elected me, a simple, humble worker in God's vineyard," he said. After delivering his first papal blessing, the crowd in St. Peter's Square chanted, "Viva il Papa."

Isn't this pope the same person who did the funeral ceremony of Pope John Paul II?...or am i confused with his looks?
