Is Aishwarya Rai Actually Beautiful?

Is Aishwarya Rai Actually Beautiful?

Is Aishwarya Rai actually beautiful? Sometimes I can't really tell anymore. Maybe the question should actually be, Is Aishwarya Rai the most beautiful woman in the world? And then my answer would still be the same, " I can't really tell anymore." Because I live Hindi Popular cinema, I live Bollywood, day in and day out and Aishwarya Rai is there, everywhere, all the time. She is so close that actually I am not sure I can even see her anymore, or I should say that, I don't really have a proper perspective. What I am talking about here is the face of Aishwarya. I'm not talking about her movies or a fans perceived notions of her personality, or her acting skill. I am asking about a totally superficial impression of the face, her face, which has now become a brand, iconic, and superstar. Ash has been called by her press, "The most beautiful woman in the world." and with a steady determination she has aspired to live up to the title. In many ways she has lived up to it. I say, I don't know If Ash is the most beautiful woman in the world, because at this point, that is just a given. Of course she is, but then hasn't she always been?

Soon Aishwarya will be breaking into "Western Territories" and the world of Hollywood. I really wonder what the reaction will be? I would actually love to have a fresh perspective on the face of Aishwarya Rai. Could you imagine having lived in a world where you have never seen the face of Aishwarya Rai and then suddenly, say tomorrow for that matter, all of a sudden, there she is, splashed on the covers of magazines, on your television, and in your movies? What do you think would be your reaction? My point is, I don't know what that would be like, but this is what is just about to happen to tens of millions of Americans in the coming weeks as Aishwarya hits the United States to promote her new film, Pride and Prejudice and venture into the mythical area of cross-over between Hollywood and Bollywood.

Of course Aishwarya is beautiful. And in fact she may just actually at this point in time hold the title of "Most beautiful woman in the world". Because who actually has the glamour to compete? The only real glamour in entertainment rests in the womb of Bollywood as it has disappeared from Hollywood and Europe decades ago. And as real glamour no longer really exists in the West, is there really room there for an Aishwarya Rai? Is the breakthrough of Ash in Hollywood going to be an exercise of throwing pearls before swine? Somehow I fear that it will. I fear that the American public will not "get" Aishwarya Rai, in fact I know they won't. America has no room for the concept of, the fantasy of, "the most beautiful face in the world" and all the purity and iconic untouchability that type of phrase conjures, which is sad. It speaks of the loss of innocence the West has subjected itself to. In the age of jaded irony that is American entertainment, it is my guess that Aishwarya Rai, the queen of Bollywood, will be the breath of fresh air, that goes unnoticed.

Face value counts!

Ash has certainly displayed to the world that she owns a beautiful face, in fact, one of the most beautiful faces on the face of this earth.  But what about her inner beauty, has she displayed that yet? Or, has she been able to display that as yet?

From her interviews, as a viewer, I find it quite hard to recognize her inner beauty.  Although we all must have tried to find her inner self of who she is inside, and must have tried to judge her from her words.  But were we successful? I don't think we have seen her inner beauty yet. The question is, is she also so beautiful inside as she is on outside?  If she is, then all is well.

But, for instance, if she does not possess that inner beauty, then what?  What if her fans finds out that only her face has been blown out of proportion in the media, and not really her own self.  What is her true self? That is a question which only Aishwarya can answer, but I doubt if she has discovered herself as a person yet.  To me, she seems lost in the glamour world, she seems to be doing too much in too little time. Interview after interview, events after events and comercials after comercials.  When does she has time to know herself? God knows!

Leave alone her true self, lets talk only about her face.  Bottom line comes to the fact, that face-value has alot to do with most of the things in life.  And all her success upto now is a product of her beautiful face. Its a face, people love to see, adore, and admire.  They don't give a crap about who she is inside.  They are simply in-love with her face.  I think the world like to fantasize her pretty face.  Maybe it comforts them.  Maybe it draws away their stress in life, and hence instead of dealing with day-to-day reality, they rather choose a pretty face to dream and depend on.  What if they really come to know the real Aishwarya one day?  What if their pretty dream shatters?

The moral is: People should see the reality more often, and not go bonkers after something or someone blind-foldedly, be it someone big like Aishwarya, or anyone small like me.

RE: Is Aishwarya Rai Actually Beautiful?

Very True..

A public face can put on a mask all the time in front of the public.
Not so the voice. Specially of an RJ. His or her selection of songs can give away a glimpse of what kind of a person he or she might be.

True beauty lies in the self being a reflection of the beauty of the face. A beautiful person is beautiful to look at. The beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Are not all babies beautiful to everyone?

Are not all faces with a smile which come from the heart, beautiful?

The rest is what may be called attractive.

But then there are some faces, who it is difficult to imagine as a bad person. A public face which I can think of at the moment is that of Juhi Chawla. She has one of the rare few public faces that I find are maybe...just maybe ..reflecting a person within. I could be grossly off the mark though.........

Ash on the other hand is extremely attractive and a sight for sore eyes...It may not hold good for a person with a sore heart. But who am I to judge. I dont even know her! All we are discussing here is the face value. And going by that...she sure is one rich lady!
